There are three main types of membrane used in flat roof waterproofing: liquid waterproofing membrane (poured polyurethane), single-ply membrane (EPDM rubber) and reinforced bitumen membrane.
All three membranes have potential applications. Large surface areas are best-suited to poured membranes and reinforced bitumen. Domestic properties should make use of EPDM rubber whenever possible due to its long shelf life.
We’ll recommend the right membrane for your project following a roof survey. We’ll consider your budget and lifespan requirements, although the surface area of your roof and the underlying structure may dictate what membrane we recommend.
