Flat roofs have a finite lifespan. The flat roofing systems built 20 years ago were nearly always a felt membrane designed to last around 20 years.
Newer systems use EPDM rubber and GRP (fibreglass) and last 30 to 40 years with no maintenance. We specialise in these modern flat roofing systems.
The right flat roof for your project depends on the specification of the structure and your budget. EPDM rubber is cheaper than GRP and performs just as well, but some people like the way GRP looks better. It’s horses for courses.
You also have the option of felt. Unlike the felt used 20 and 30 years ago, modern felt roofing systems are multi-layer systems with excellent waterproofness and longevity. They are the cheapest option, but by no means the worst.
