How often should I inspect my roof?
We advise that the roof is inspected every year before winter arrives. In the interest of safety we advise that you initially carry out inspections from ground level. What should I look for when inspecting my roof?

Can moss cause leaks?
Unfortunately yes it can. Roofs are designed to channel water down the roof and into the gutters. If there is too much moss on the roof it can restrict the water flow and eventually cause leaks. A heavy build-up of moss should be removed and the roof treated to prevent re-growth.

Yes, you must apply for a building notice at least 48 hours before the work is carried out and arrange for a local inspector to visit the site.
